Getting a haircut and grooming is an important part of self-care. It’s not only about looking good, it’s also about the health of your hair. Taking the time to find the right barber or stylist who understands your hair type and texture can make all the difference in how you look and feel. For young black men, it’s especially important to learn proper hair care techniques early on so you can maintain your hair’s health as you grow older. From using shampoo to moisturizing your hair regularly, there are many tips and tricks that can help keep your hair and your beard healthy and looking great.  Fixing Fathers, Inc., has partnered with Reliant Behavioral Health and Community Services of New Haven and Sangster Barber & Salon in Hamden. We have created a new program called Impactful Cuts.  We understand the importance of grooming and we want to provide our men (Our Kings!) with a no cost solution.  For our young men, ages 10 – 20 and our older men ages 21 – 45 we will be offering you a day of grooming.  A day of self-care.  A day just for you!  The wonderful thing about this is that this day of grooming is absolutely FREE.  The only thing that you will have to do is make an appointment (no walk-ins) and show up.   If you are interested or if you are in need for a cut for that big interview or that new lady friend.  Put your Fixing Fathers Foot forward and reach out to Dr. David Lee Asbery (718-288-0768).
